Hands down one of the best CrossFit gyms Iāve attended. Zach and Marcus are superb coaches with a wealth of knowledge and enthusiastic about helping individuals meet their lifestyle goals. I immediately felt welcomed by them and by the CrossFit Community theyāve built.

I was a non active dad with not a lot of energy and motivation to do anything. I knew I neeeded To get up and get my buy back into shape. I started CrossFit at Catoctin CrossFit over 3 years ago and I have not only gained my energy back but I have burned some much needed fat while adding a ton of muscle. Great place to change your life. Great coaches and great people.

Ignored when we walked in for info for a *long* period of time. We’d tried calling for a couple weeks to get an appointment, but no one ever answered the phone & no option to leave a message. At first people were very rude that we’d come in without calling first, but then loosened up once we explained about having called a number of times.
Didn’t wind up joining as it was way too expensive for our budget -we purchased 2 memberships at Anytime Fitness for less than what it would cost for just 1 membership here, although their membership fees were in the normal range for joining a CrossFit place, according to my friend who owns a few. (Also can’t stand the pretentious way they’re called boxes instead of gyms, but that’s just me!)

I walked into Catoctin CrossFit 4 months ago as a total newbie, wanting to expand my fitness beyond the at-home kettlebell and HIIT workouts I was doing. Iām a mom of two little ones, so my workouts were always getting interrupted and I just wasnāt pushing myself the way I knew I could.
Although I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go, I canāt believe how far Iāve come since first stepping foot in the gym. Zach and Marcus are incredible coaches. They are patient when it comes to teaching the techniques and they always put safety at the forefront. I love the community atmosphere at the gym and the energy during the workouts. Everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging. CrossFit has been exactly what I needed to take my fitness to the next level.

Started at Catoctin after moving back to VA from Atlanta where I had dabbled with CrossFit. I emailed Zach about my interest in trying it out and felt like the red carpet was rolled out for me when I went in. Iām used to being good at athletics in general and I was so nervous that I would just suck and embarrass myself. Zach (and everyone else at the gym) were so patient in explaining new movements to me and, when I would do something epically wrong, would coach me specifically on how to improve. I really felt (and still feel) individually important and supported in learning all of these new things. After about 3 months, Iām definitely still learning but itās no longer daunting to me to try new things that I may not necessarily be āgoodā at right off of the bat. Physically, I feel stronger than Iāve ever been and my body continues to amaze me with what it can do if I put in the work. Mentally, I feel more positive about my ability to overcome new obstacles and get excited to go to the gym and take care of myself. Iām so grateful for Zach and all of the other trainers and athletes. I love this ridiculous place and everyone in it.
